*So the Gate was on, it would change it to OFF, and visa versa*
Hi... Great idea!

I wanted to clarify the mapping of the Gates and A/B buttons please.

Should I map both (for the same step) to the same button on my controller, or to different buttons on my controller?

I tried mapping to the same button and (I think because the device is sending out a midi note) it made the Gate buttons on the device change state each time the metronome passed it. So the Gate was on, it would change it to on, and visa versa.

But if I have to map the Gate and A/B buttons to a different button on my controller, I need to use 32 buttons on the controller for a 16 step sequence, which I didn't think is how you would make the device work...?

Any advice appreciated, cheers

Hi..does this device continually randomising i.e. on a per note basis? So if I play the same 4 bar loop, it could be different each time.
I'm looking for a device that will remove the same notes each time, so random based on chance, but then 'frozen' until chance is changed (or some other positive action is taken) - similar to using a sample and hold on a pitch sequence
@voct - nice one! yep, the bundled version of Max was only 8.1.x. Updated to latest version of Max manually and all good!
nice one for the device - though doesn't start with Ableton main transport... anyone else got this problem?
Hi @Alkman... I need to update to 1.1. as I still have the version that doesn't load settings properly (I had stopped using it as a result but saw somewhere recently that it had been fixed). How can I update it please? (I don't have the email receipt as it was a long time ago...eek)
