This device is way cool and I'm not sure it's working properly yet. I wish you posted a bit more info about the buttons on the currently working tab "clip."

It only seems to be working in Track 1. When you say " you'll need to enter into the patch the track number that it sits on,"
where do you enter that? It's like I dont get an option for that.

Can't wait to see the rest of it working. This is really awesome.

OK, after opening it up, I still can't seem to get it to work on other tracks.

hey man this device is hella wikked..

only suggestion i might make is possibly making the window float?

other than that im much glad to see where this goes.. nice!!

For the moment open the patch in edit mode and locate the bright blue comment that says about entering the track number, i'll update this patch shortly so that it'll look for the track that it sits on...

And as for making it float... Haven't got the first clue on how to achieve this? What would be the benefit of doing so??

Cheers

I recently posted about this on the Ableton forum:
http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=131576&start=15

Make things float by encasing them in a patcher with at least a dummy inlet inside it, so that you can attach a pcontrol-object to it. Then use a toggle/live.button sent to a select with the attributes 0 / 1, connected to the relevant messages "open" and "close," leading into the pcontrol

Here is an example; a floating "Buffer Shuffler":

I'm looking forward to checking out this patch!

I just watched the video. It's fantastic!
I understand the benefit of having it float around- so that you can visually work on multiple tracks at once.
I could see a bay of these being in one track or a floating device... which gives me an idea! I will link it back to here once I find or make what I am thinking.

I was think it might be nice to have a floating switch that returned the view to a track, specific screen, window, device, and possibly even auto-mapped. That would be just as cool as a floating bay (several of these) but that would be a major project. In the meantime, I might take your excellent patching and create a version of this that has a floating bay of maybe 4 of these.

One question- While adjusting the loop length, the range seems to meander out of range. Always. Is there something I ma missing? Perhaps a method of binding this a specific range?

Things to do include the shift functionality of the first "scene" i think i'll be replacing the buttons on the right with loop start, loop on/off and loop end for setting your own loop lengths as focus on clip is now a standard functionality of the APC40.....

Then i'll look at the binding of the maximum value being the clip end, difficult at the moment unless you prgram each clip to cycle through loop on and off at the start of playing it to achieve the call on the clip_end to get the maximum, it;'ll happen but now everything seems to be working smoothly for me (and it looks good!)

Feedback as ever is greatly appreciated including "what if you could" as well as "your code would be cleaner if...."

Cool patch...

In the spirit of "your code would be cleaner if....".... you make subpatchers of recurring bits of code. Than the patch would be better readable.

Although I like your patch and ideas, I didn't investigate further after opening your patch, because of the million cables and such. You know what I mean? I mean this in a good way ofcourse...

Especially with coding in Max this is important. So you can read your own code when you get back at your patch after a year or so..
Keep up the good work!!

Ciao,

I think something's wrong with the download link; when I download I get the Libe LFO app

Cheers
Bert

It works this end for me? It's quite a large file so it was sent in via email but that should make it even more foolproof!

Cheers

Same, this seems to be an LFO device?

Same, this seems to be an LFO device?

Esta nueva versin se ve bastante interesante, pero la descarga es un dispositivo de LFO con el nombre de su dispositivo "Clip Control v 2.4, muy curioso.

saludo amigo

woops. sorry guys. I was helping the author troubleshoot this device earlier and uploaded an LFO as a test and forgot to change it back.

I'll fix it soon and post when it's the right device.

Ok guys. Uploaded the right one for this device. Sorry for the confusion.

the Looping/Follow does not seem to work right at all.

It either stops my track, puts the loop at the very end, or squashes my track to almost nothing.

Not sure whats going on with that.

I sure would like fine adjustments on the stutter etc. 16th and 32nd and possibly 64.

I really appreciate your efforts man! You have become a real whiz on this stuff and I look forward to the updates. That being said, as cool as this device is, it's still not as smooth or efficient as the beat look up. That could be due to Max4Live just not being there yet. I really want there to be a day when most of my fx are "Native" to Ableton, so I greatly appreciate what your doing with it.

In the spirit of "it would be cool if"

It had a "gate" sort of tremolo style function.

And maybe a delay that when activated it cuts the incoming audio and leaves only the echo until released.

Just a thought. Other than that this is only going to get tons better!

Hi Juan,

I'm not sure what the problem is your having with the loop functions, it works solidly at my end, that said it didn't used to and i tried all sorts of different things to get it to work before i reverted to the simplest of calling all the changes at the same time.....

The stutters could easily go deeper, it just depends on the order of slices you send into the chucker object, currently it's sending 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 etc (24 steps) regardless of the size of the chucker (either 1 bar or two bars defined by the position of the 1/4's or 1/8ths switch) if you wanted smaller slices you'd need to work another switch into the mix to replace the messages sent into the chucker so instead they ran with 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 then depending on the length of the chucker you'd get your 16ths etc.

And yes i've got two scenes left, the next works on stabs / switches for the A B & C sends (I'm hosting a neat beatrepeat rack in C to do my stutter work) and the final Scene was intended to do gate style cuts and chops (theres a couple of max devices in the library i'll be pulling apart to make this happen!

Hi,

I have same problem as Juan.
If I select the loop button (1/8,1/4 etc) and then "Off" button by mouse click, it's ok.
Unfortanetaly if I use midi mapping and push button on midi controller, so length of the track is set up in the end of the loop. Pressing "Off" button stop looping, but all track too.

I used Launchpad, but the buttons are triggers not toggles, so I tried toggle buttons in TouchOSC (iPhone) and same result. I don't know why, but with mouse click it's ok.

Sorry for my poor English, I hope that you understand what I meaned.

Cool thanks guys, I'll get a look at the midi side of it soon....

Just working on the shift functionality within the patch so no need for a seperate device to handle midi from the apc40, i'm setting it up using a nanokontrol which has enough butttons and knobs to do all eight tracks.....

Oh and added extra divisions for the beatjumps which sound wicked, beat repeats on another scene as well....

Nearly there, thanks for all the feedback!

Cheers
D

It's still downloading 2.4 not 2.5

Good to go now!!

Cheers
D

On the first version of this device the Looping worked great. Since then the Looping totally freaks out. It really just throws my clip out of whack. I'm not sure what it does to it. Something like throwing the Loop start position way to the back where there is no music. It sets the loop size all crazy too.

Also I tested this device with one track and a bout 20 audio clips. Live started acting slow and buggy. Didn't really see CPU spikes, but it was acting like it was a major struggle. When I watched your video on this it baffles me, because it seems to run so smooth for you.

HOWEVER, the beat Jumping is KILLER.

Sorry to leave a downer of a post, I'm just really excited about this device and it doesn't seem to act right

Don't know whats going wrong at your end mate, currently rebuilding it from the ground up but having no problems as you describe them... Anyone else??

Things'll be easier with the next version to follow as it's a lot tidier....

And i've got one device on every track of 8 and now 5 audio effect racks before each and no noticeable slowdown... what buffer is your audio set to?

Cheers
D

My buffer is set to 128samples.

I use a live feed from a turntable and Traktor so I try to keep my Latency as low as possible. I would prefer lower, but I settle for that. Sometimes I raise it to 196 or so.

I will use this device for my DJ sets, but for my band I will eventually extract your BeatJump section and isolate just that. Slowly but surely I will make something similar to the finger meets BeatLookUp. Still trying to kick the idea around in my head. If I can figure out how to make it half ass emulate what the finger can do I will be stoked.

Hi I've same problem as JuanSOLo :(
Which version of Max and Ableton are you using? 5.1.0 and 8.1.0 or 5.1.1 and 8.1.1?

If you want, I can record some video for better analysis.

I'm using 8.1.1 Live and 5.1.1 Max (41439)

Can you navigate to where the three calls are sent to the live object an click them in order of looping on, loop start and then loop end.... The patch calls the loop on and then delays the loop start and loop end call by one beat, this seems to be the only way that it doesn't confuse Ableton, i have it mapped to a momentary button on a nanokontrol and as you've seen from the videos rarely have a problem....

I'm a few days away from looking at it again having dived into the APC properly so if you get a chance to test any changes you make let me know and i can implement them in the new version, logically though i'm sure you'll agree there should be no problem....

Cheers
D

yeppp, thats sounds really awesome.. i just have a little problem : i'm running ableton on windows and when i launch the plugin, i have to wait for maybe 10 seconds for it to launch.
Second, it is very slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww , actually, every time i press a button i have to wait for 3 seconds for its action. Is it happening to someone else ? because i really cant do anything .. :(

@tonycmoi

I'm also experiencing the same very slow reaction from clip control v. 2.5 on Mac OSX 10.5.8., Max/Msp 5.1.1., and Live 8.1.1.

clip control v. 2.4 doesn't have the same laggy response on my system.

Keep up the incredible work :-)

thanks man, i moved things on a bit so i've branched into version 3.1

A lot less clunky than before.... Roadtesters required, especially now that the patch isn't just a mess of wires....

Only one audio effect in it so far in the beatjumps but these sound good so i hope i'm forgiven, many more to come but i need to delve into MSP for that so it might take me a while so i'll be ironing any kinks that people find out of this patch first before getting any deeper!

Cheers
D

I'd definitely like to see a video.

So far not everything is working. It sees my stop clips, activator, solo, cue, and device control knobs.

Shift scene, does nothing.
I cant locate the beat jumps either, and no led feed back. I'm not sure it will even navigate to it?

The load button seems to act strange too. It seems to activate the 1st
TBC button.

I have tomorrow off. I'd love to figure this thing out.

Scratch that last post. I missed the part about the metronome being "shift"

I will get at this tomorrow when I have had some rest.

Thanks D.

Sorry should've been clearer on the metronome button, mybe call it something different like scene selector to avoid confusion?

It does leave the shift functionality intact though so you can press shift and the second button under the device control and bank the knobs to control the rack on the right....

Oh and i'll add to the descriptiuon as metronome plus track select button chooses the parameter that the right hand rack focuses on, just need to sort out the recording of values as at the moment every rack resets to the same values that i've set for my A&H vs DJM rack eg, 65 0 0 0 127 127 127 127...

Need to dig into your preset thingymajig as it holds some good keys for me, i may also implement the send control that you've developed into one of the scenes as i intend to have track 8 as a summing track so you can group together a number of tracks for glitching, i'll also be resurrecting dummy clips in this track for my own set as there are some wicked transitions available when you spend some time drawing things out....

Cheers
D

The program will be released shortly for Novation Launchpad?
Thanks
Claudio

Don't think so, i haven't got one.... Unless you want to send me one?

Cheers
D

It's not working here.
It loads and the apc lights up a bit but not correctly for every track and i just don't have any controller working.

Iam using Ableton on win7

You should only have one instance of this device, the others should be of the slave device linked to in the note above....

Then make sure you have loaded each instance by either midi mapping to the load button or pressing individually, you'll notice that the patch firstly goes to the shifted functionality so in the first case press metronome, track select one, then metronome and scene launch one....

It should then all be ready to use....

Cheers
D

ps new update with gating functionality tidied up beat repeats and a more secure disabling of the clip stop buttons is coming soon!

oh i missed this ...
thank's it helped :)

I'l get it poisted as soon as i can but if you go into the patch and locate the p disabler patcher within it (near the top to the right) then within this patcher the word button in the top left message of the patcher should read buttons, this will then properly disable the clip stop buttons rather then just on occasions....

New version soon i promise.....

Cheers
D

Great!

I don't really know about max but i wanted to make the buttons correction and the box with Object / Message is full of "Live.object get : not valid object set" and "live.path invalid syntax"

Hi Darren

Boy have you've been busy! So much good stuff crammed into this patch it's unreal! I'm loving the looping section & beat repeaty bit. Got similar problems to JuanSolo too though and maybe slightly new thing. Seems if i'm in scene 2/3 and using the stop clips, if i press the stop button for a clip that's playing, it sometimes stops the clip. It's like the stop buttons are not disabled. I've tried to remove as much of the midi mapped stuff as possible, particularly for the buttons your patch needs - don't think any midi mapped stone has been left unturned

Any ideas? Could be a bug with M4L maybe?

Really looking forward to the next update!

Cheers
Sunil

Yeah i've found that too.... The one i've got on my mac at home seems to fix this though with the tip on the disabler above....

For playschool above the error messages will stop when you have a clip playing, it's the followaction patcher that's producing the errors....

Cheers
D

Wow just realised this patch is in the top five highest rated on there... Thank you all so much, well chuffed especially as i know it's been glitchy getting it to this point!

Cheers
D

hey , i just saw that u replaced the "clip control" instrument by the APC40 thing. Do u think u'll update the old clip control to make a newer one or u will focus ur (nice) work on the apc ?

Thanks anyway,

Tony.

Hi Tony,

I'm just working on adding back in the ability to midi map the controls with the minimum number of buttons possible again, JuanSOLO and myself are working on improving the control surface 8x8 device so expect to see that first....

Cheers
D

you should make a short quickstart guide on how to set it up. I've downloaded the patch and to be honest, I have no idea what to do with it.
For example, where am I supposed to put the device? is it on the master track?

What apart from the detailed instructions above and the 5 videos on thestudiosessions.co.uk ?

Cheers
D

you are a master. people are picky but all in all you are just a master. Thanks D!

Is there suppose to be a master file? the link on the top is for the slave.

Things to do.....

1,Disable the scene launch buttons in the standard mode so that 5 banks of new controls can be added
2, Reverser that works on the stop all clips button
3, Reset left hand device on master track select and right hand device on shift plus master track select button

Hello D.
I just bought The APC40...
How do I disable the stop button and Disable the scene launch buttons?

Thanks from Italy

Sorry guys, i've tried updating the patch to be version 3.4 of the master but things just don't seem to be working with the site at the moment.....

clla, have you mapped the load button to the tap tempo button as per the instructions above? This will disable the stop button however the scene launch buttons still work as the default and only switch off when the metronome is held down....

Cheers
D

Email me the 3.4 version and I'll replace that file for you manually - info@maxforlive.com

:-) works ......................:-)
thanks thanks you are a great .......

D, I think i fixed your problem. Try to upload the 3.4 version again.

YAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAY!!!

I've just figured out how to disable the scene launch buttons permanently!

Now got another 5 buttons x 5 scenes of mashing nonsense to code in....

APC40-Jugger

This looks like a really cool patch but I have not had any luck getting it to work. I've looked around and haven't had any luck answering these questions:

Am I supposed to drop APC40 Control Surface - DJ Edition 3.5 on Track 1 in my set and then use the 3.4 Slave on the rest of the tracks or do I use this patch on every track?

When I drop just the APC40 Control Surface - DJ Edition 3.5 on Track 1 and then try to Midi Map the controls I am unable to select most of the controls. Do I need to do anything in Midi preferences in Live before using the control surface?

Is it normal that the device takes a relatively long time to load when you drop it on a track?

Is there some readme that I am missing or something? I'm new to your template. The potential seems enormous but I am missing a few steps between dropping the device on the track and having functionality. If these questions are answered elsewhere and I'm just missing it please point me there; I've looked through the videos and discussion in the comments here and in the the thread on the ableton forum.

The device is 17mb large so will take a while to first initialise.... if your using an apc40 no midi mapping is required bar mapping the load button to the tap tempo.... You should select apc40 as a control surface in the midi preferences and select the apc40 itself in both input and output drop down menus.....

When the device has loaded press and hold the tap tempo twice to initialise the patch properly.....

The Slave device may work but won't have all the functionality of the master as i'm currently working on the slave version to get it uploaded tommorrow.....

sorry i don't have a readme as yet as the development is taking all my time.....

Cheers
D

Thanks for the quick response! I believe the not pressing the load button twice is what must have been throwing me off. Don't have my APC40 here in front me but will let you know once I've tried it out. Thanks again, looking forward to giving this a whirl!

Hmm, still not having any luck. I bound the load button to tap tempo and hit it twice. The Load button turns white then red again and the rack on the left flickers so I think that is working. However, none nothing else seems to work. Clicking the shift button on the screen displays the various scenes but pressing the shift on the APC40 does nothing or any of the stop buttons etc. The first knob on the Device Control of the APC40 does move the first knob of the left rack in the control surface but I can't seem to get any other input.

Just to clarify for this work I simply download the patch, drag it to a track in my set, load it to initialise and the rest should click?

This is what my MIDI preferences look like:
http://ploader.net/files/89b6bc22f1ed95e7639140bf81263fb7.png

Is that correct? I just can't seem to be able to figure what it is that I am doing wrong. If anyone has any tips please let me know.

thanks much!

My apologies, the shift button is controlled by the metronome button on the APC40 and not the shift button which has too much going on to use it as a shift within max.....

Realised i've deleted the original instructions, on the rack on the right double click the first top right button to the side of the knobs, it should be named according to the rack placed immediately after it..... If you have a look at the last video on my blog thestudiosessions.co.uk you'll see what i mean....

Cheers
D

Thanks for the support. I discovered the root of the problem was with some of my midi preferences left over from when I'd been using Stray's nativeKontrol, for whatever reason it completely mucked up this surface. Got rid of all the old stuff and seems like the patch is working great.

Got a big smile on my face, thanks again!

Glad to hear you got it working.....

just developing a version that becomes even more configurable so that you can select any of the modes for the track select buttons and activate, cue and record so you can have any control you'd like on each scene....

ringrazio anticipatapente saluti
DJ Luca La Pira

There will be a slave device shortly that will allow a device in each track but no i won't be doing a scaled down version sorry!

Cheers
D

Hi Darren,

first of all I would like to thank you for making such a great device.... but I have some problems:

1. When I use "glitch mode" the first beat is always on "slice 8" meaning that the eight clipstop button is the first step in a loop.

2. Also in this mode when I press on of the clip stop buttons it does not stop the effect when I release the button. To get the beat/track running normally I have to press emergency.

3. In glitch mode also sometimes one side of the signal gets lost.

4. and in this mode the "Slice2" tab is red, while the rest is grey... what does this mean?

5. Loop mode with the first 4 clip stop buttons setting on/off 1, 2 and 4 bar loops is working quite good, sometimes the playhead jumps to another position than it should be. This happens in steps of one or two bar, as soon as I change the loop lenght from 1 to 2 or 4 bars.

6. When I'm in a let's say 4 bar loop and this loop runs for 4 times and I then press Clip Stop Button 5 (Set In Point) the playhead jumps way forward and I guess it jumps forward exactly the time the loop was repeating. In this case 16 bars. So when I want to set a new "set in" point I frist have to select "loop off" and then can set it.

7. The setting of loop points does only work with the "Set In". Let's say I want to make a 8 bar loop with these two knobs. When I press clip stop button 6 ("Set Out") in the moment just before the end of bar 8, the loop is set to a lenght of 7bars and one quarter. It also doesn't matter how long I want to set the loop, pressing the "set Out" button always steals 3 quarters of the last bar and sets the loop to whatever desired length minus 3 quarters...???

8. The beat repeat section only works by hazard. This means when I press e.g. the 1/64 button it does not give me a correct repeat of the section but alters randomly the repeating section. It seems that it buffers with every repeat new audio from the on going track... Also sometimes the buttons don't react at all and pressing them never gives me a reliable rhythmic result.

These are the first issues I have with the device. I didn't test all the functions yet, but as long as these main features do not work in my case I unfortunately can't work with it at all... and I am sad about this...

What am I doing wrong? My setup is a macbook pro with Live 8.1.1 and the actual max for live (not beta) release.

If anyone could help me I would be very pleased. big Shouts for your device which would have the killer features if they would work in my setup...

Cheers

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

Answers hopefully...

1,Not sure i can replicate this so i'll look into it, the first button can only ever play the first slice, but are you saying the lights are not in sequence?

2, This is caused by the loadbang not initialising in the correct order, what happens is that when you load the patch it leaves it stuck on slice 8 and so when glitching with another button you get the right glitch but then it get's stuck on, a manual workaround currently is to press each of the buttons before you start playing (i'll again fix this in the next version using some form of delayed bang however the main issue is a fault with M4L which has been acknowledged and documented on the C74 forum.

3, Fixed it with the next version, bear with me....

4, The red of the tab is the size of the slice, if you turn the cue level knob on the apc whilst in this scene it'll change the rate of the glitching

5, Timing is the issue, it's worked to loop only on whole bars so if you've set a loop you need to be careful where you press the next loop set button as if you've passed a start of bar point it will use this new point as the start marker. You're better off changing loop lengths using the half and double buttons after they have been set.....

6, Yes.... The set function will only function correctly if you're setting the loop on an unlooped clip, not for editing a currently looped clip. I hope to fix this later but it's behaviour is as erratic as the loop_jump_point bang.....

7, Obviously something wrong with my maths on this one, i'll look into it and get it fixed....

8, The Beatrepeat is based on the chucker object and so as such the audio is replaced with each bar, the point at which the stutter occurs is quantized to 16ths so that it's more likely you'll hit audio that sounds better sonically....
I can't talk for the buttons not working as they function every time for me?

can someone please explain me how to make this patch work?

- do i need to load also other plugs after/before this patch on the same track?

- when i load the patch on track 1, im getting instant glitches...

it would be so great of someone could explain step by step how to make this thing work.

thanks a lot!
pony

@Darren: Thank you very much that you took the time to answer my questions so in detail... Unfortunately due to my job as producer at a radio station I can only give it a try again on the weekend. I check it again with your comments and give you feedback.

Thanks

Stefan

No worries Stefan, will upload the next version by then anyway!

Hi Ponybob (cool name)

Place this device on the first track after an ableton rack (have a copy of this same rack on each of the other 7 tracks in your template) and then place ableton racks after the device.... Keymap or midi map the load button that sticks out from the left hand set of 8 knobs and then press and hold (button will turn red) and press and hold again (button will return to grey)...

The device will take a while to load based on all the objects and paths within it that need to initialize, then double click the tab to the right hand side of the right hand set of eight knobs, working from top to bottom these should have the names of the ableton racks you've placed after Isotonik.....

You can now take control of the device with the apc as demonstrated in the setup videos on vimeo.com/studiosessions...

For more detailed instructions check out the posts on the ALDJ or Ableton forum..... http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=132132

I promise i'll make a detailed guide once i've finished patching which isn't far away....

I'm encountering the same problem as Stefan's first one he mentioned above. It seems the beats and the lights of the slices are not synced properly.

Anyway, great stuff and thanks for your massive efforts!

Yes mate, it is fixed for the next version but i've got some heavy work involved in streamlining it so you can actually get control over 8 tracks using the slave device i've built to go with it...

I'm currently at 6 tracks so some more streamlining to go before i update it but as an idea i'm on version 4.1 (i update the number everytime i make a major change in case i have to rollback, i'll rvert to version 1.0 when i;ve finished the damned thing!

I'm also working on a template filled with effects racks and the like which i'll be sending out to anyone who wants it through my blog thestudiosessions.co.uk (leave me a message with your email address!!)

I'm feeling a bit stupid. I can't even get the patch to load. Other max patches are dropping in fine, but this one isn't coming up. I tryed double clicking it. I tried dragging it in, but it won't let me drop it anywhere; not on the audio track, not on a midi track. Did I miss something?

It takes a minute to load up..... Other than that i dont know....

cheers

Still nothing. Does it matter how many tracks I have loaded? I should be able to open a new set and drop it straight in right? The slave isn't working either. Is it the version? Anyone else having a problem?

I think I found the problem... APC40 Control Surface - DJ Edition 3.5.amxd = file size 0kb on disk. Can you check the file on server?

This version is still downloading as 0kb. Would someone mind sending a working file to my email?

pyro103uz@yahoo.com

Thanks in advance

Sorry mate it's too big to email!!

It's not my site to check the server.....

I'll send you the template though when i get home, it's just uploading whilst i'm at work....

hello, the file is not good (0kb). can you send it to me by e-mail?

marrocco@marrocco.ch

thank in advance ;o)

If you need it emailed then please leave me a message through my blog thestudiosessions.co.uk then i can maintain the mailing list from one source...

Much appreciated if you could email it to me at pfan888@hotmail.com Thank you :o)

Sorry guys, please do not post your email addresses here, if you want to be on the mailing list leave me a comment on my blog.

In the meantime Clint's working hard to fix the download issues...

My apologies for leaving my email address here.

Quick question... How do I put the slave version of the control surface in track 2,3,4,,5,6,7,8 is there a difference??? or is the slave patch something I need to download and if so where do I find it???

Your assistance is needed and greatly appreciated.

The anticipation to get this to work is killing me. :oP

Hi FANiAM888

I've put the link for the Slave device in the description of this device....

Youneed the master on track one and the slave goes on as many other tracks as your system can handle without crashing with an out of memory error. I run it stably with 4 tracks being controlled on my macbook but the tower manages 6 (i don't know why!)

D

Changed a php memory setting and now this device seems to download fine for me. Let me know if any of you have problems still with it at info@maxforlive.com

-Clint

still can't find the load button on trak1 master so I can assign it to tap button on my apc40..i think i'm still not really clear what suppose to do

Seriously? Right hand set of knobs, button with Load written on it?

Double click rather than midi map then you have the tap tempo button still available for it's original purpose.....

3000 Downloads, 100 comments (half of them by me obviously lol !)

Thanks everyone who's downloaded, working on my next device that's give simple smart knob control over Ableton effects racks.....

i understand that darren is in music mode these days, good for him. would anyone, who has this up and running, care to give a step by step tutorial please? also, is this different from the "dj edition"? if so where can i get it?

thanks

Hi there,

This is the natural development of the DJ edition, it gained a name to give it a bit of an identity..... named after an old hardcore artist who recorded "different strokes"

Step by Step is tricky, you might want to watch the videos on my vimeo channel www.vimeo.com/studiosessions....

Version 5 is immenent as part of a live template that includes a full manual....

need older version (2.3 or 2.4)
4.3 not works properly :(
or need another plugin for just beatjuggling like beatlookup.

just for buffering stream and split to 8 parts and knob for select time of repeat and button for on|off repeating. like in isotonik.

anybody have something like it?? :D

ssry for my English

Hi NKRDBL,

I'm not updating this device anymore, you may be able to extract to beatjump patcher from within it to suit your needs, alternatively version 5.8 is fully midi mappable and available through my blog http://thestudiosessions.co.uk

D

How come when I download this I get v6?

Because the link to download is in the description....

Isotonik 8 is now released, the Lite device will be updated in line with the new look and have some new functionality as well.... ;-)

Wow, it's been a long time... Isotonik NINE is now fully released, this device has been shared by Ableton and big things are on the horizon!
