Arshan Najafi is a composer and live electroacoustic performer working with sound, image and text. His practice focuses on experimental electronic music, generative systems, computermusik and musique concrète. His works have been presented and published by Spectro Centre for New Music, Noise à Noise Records, Petrichor Records, Unexplained Sounds Group, Cold Spring Records, XOR Space, TTU, Unerhörte Musik, TIEMF, MUSLAB, SIMEC, CMMF, ECHOFLUXX, EGFF, ICMC Boston, TMoCA and etc.
He has studied music with Saba Alizadeh, Parsa Hadavi, Sohrab Motabar and Ata Ebtekar and was a recipient of Petrichor Records’ Call for Young Iranian Composers, receiving mentorship from Chaya Czernowin, Reza Vali and Arshia Samsaminia.
His debut book, Twenty Wrong Turns (Aso Publications), was published in 2022.
His releases include Imaginary Crisis (Noise-Works (NL), 2024), Live at Daa Theater House (Ash International (UK), 2025) and Zenosyne (Falt Records (FR), 2026) with upcoming releases on Evel Records and Ash International (Touch) in 2026.
