Description: | A BIG fixed frequency highpass filter. Move it around and you get phaser-ish sounds, this effect/technique is most notably heard on dub records. Try placing it before or after time based effects... delay/reverb. enjoy! The Altec 9069B is a 3rd-order high pass filter with an attenuation slope of 18dB/octave. King Tubby had an 9059B built into his console, known as the “Big Knob” (audio-merge). Once, engaged, JKnob kills all my signal while showing an overdriven output with no sound. Great idea though. I made one with Ableton stock parts in a rack, last year. I hope you get it sorted. |
