2.2 update fixes a bug where the KEY/MIDI mapping was not possible until the about screen was once shown and closed.

Hey @yarhammer -

I tried this out and it works in some case, but I can't get it to work in this particluar case.

MIDI TRACK to XO | MIDI TRACK with XO VST | AUDIO FROM XO

Three tracks above - if I solo the AUDIO FROM XO track, it does not correctly solo both the MIDI tracks to the left of it. I think think is (one) of the intended use cases for this device, correct?

hey @itsBREX,

if you need bussing tracks (midi or audio) to always play: you should exclude (solo safe) them via the set exclude character.

if you need help, please send email with more info and possibly sample project via mail.

cheers,
y.

Ahhh, got it. Works perfectly that way!

Would be great to have the device look for the special character anywhere in the name of the track (i.e. end) so that you can still use Live's naming indentation trick that makes it easier to find names in dropdown lists by adding __ before the name.

I use this to name my __KICK so that it's easy to find when I want to use it as a sidechain input, but I also use this for tons of other tracks / groups for creative multi-band sidechaining as well.

What do you think?

@itsBREX,

glad you got it working!

yes, there will be an update to allow -before or -after the track name for the special character.

cheers,
y.

the above mentioned update is out btw. cheers, y.

hi,

very good work, but I don't understand how works the specials characters to exlude some tracks.

@Uturnow

just use one of the special characters in the beginning or end of your track names to exclude them from the molo. this way any bussing tracks remain functional. cheers, y.

Great device ive been searching for something like this for ages to avoid click and pops when soloing automation in live.

The only thing im missing is being able to solo 2 or more tracks simultaneously when activating the "Molo in Place " button on multiple tracks simultaneously.

@mondi88

ya_MIP works with any number of selected tracks and will solo all of them.

please note, that you should only have ONE ya_MIP device in your project. set the key/MIDI there and it works for every track (selected).
