Overview

Name | Version: Audio to MIDI Bundle 1.2
Author: hmay001
Device Type: Audio Effect
Description: This is a pair of devices that allow you to trigger MIDI notes with a live audio signal. For downloading the pair or checking out a demo follow the gumroad link :)

By scaling your input signal, setting note Note On and Note Off thresholds, and playing with dynamic velocity you have complete control over the MIDI output.

Multiple receiver devices can be synced to one trigger device and this trigger device can sit on a MIDI track or an Audio track within Live.

Note: these devices have low latency rhythm generation at their heart and therefore output a pitch determined by the user not by the input audio signal.

Compatible with Live Suite 11.1 and upwards.

v 1.2:
- Device syncs and all controls recalled on set reload, undo and redo.
- Audio monitoring in stereo.
- Robust new syncing, bug fixes, and UI to reflect it.
- Minor bug fixes.

Any other feedback get in touch with me here, on the comments of the YouTube video, or on gumroad.

Cheers!

Syncing fine. Playing c3 properly. That's good.
But it's not playing the melody that I have triggering it.
Is it supposed to play more than one note? Seems like an improvement but I was under the impression when functioning that it would play the notes it was receiving.
Good on ya for trying to get this to work!

An observation: Another midi track will record the C3 in time but it can't be recorded directly into the receiver track. I suppose because the monitoring isn't seeing the data on the receiver midi track.
Hi there, thanks for the download, this device doesn't do pitch detection as I wanted to prioritize low latency live rhythm generation

As for recording the MIDI, this is a standard issue for midi generating devices (tracks can't record midi generated by their own devices), you could record the midi into another MIDI track as you say, but I tend to just resample things
How hard would it be to integrate pitch detection? It would really be something with it. The rhythmic aspect seems to be spot on.
