Also, the saving of settings does not work for the octave number, so I still cannot make a default preset tailor made for my controller.
For instance, if I use a 61 keys keyboard, with the default Oct at 3, the upper half of the displayed keyboard will go 2 octaves higher than my actual setting of "no octave change" on the hardware keyboard, so I find it quite impractical in a default/template quick use.
Again, let me know if can help.

hi @leifiju
"it seems to quickly open then close a secondary window (less than half a second)."
Yes, that is true, because it turns out you can't restore the save the zoom setting without having opened the window once. It puzzled me greatly because the same is not true for the keyboard size (which involves window resizing).... I will have to think if there is another way to go about this or if we will have to just not save zoom setting with live set :/
"As I work in full screen mode (...) it instantly takes me out to the main desktop, (...) And as Keyboard Monitor is on all my MIDI tracks, templates and default (...)"
Thank you for sharing this. I am really sorry we didn't catch this, and how much it disturbs your workflow. We are happy to know you're using it as your set template like us. I guess we both just don't use live full screen that often. Imma raise this issue on our backlog.
"Also, the saving of settings does not work for the octave number,"
What? Oh well... that'll be reviewed and fixed in v1.2.2.
Thanks for the quick and detailed feedback, that's very helpful.

P.S. and for everyone else reading... we are still waiting for Ableton to fix the bug in live 12 that makes key arrows jump twice at every click when a m4l with a popup window is open (this is true for ANY m4l device that has a popup window, not just keyboard monitor)

Thanks for this great update !
It adresses all the little drawbacks I had with the device.
However I want to point out a new bug : when the device put upon a track, it seems to quickly open then close a secondary window (less than half a second).
As I work in full screen mode (macOs Sequoia), it instantly takes me out to the main desktop, and I have to manually go back to Live.
And as Keyboard Monitor is on all my MIDI tracks, templates and default midi track, it's too inconvenient for me to work with and I will have to switch back to 1.1.3 until this is corrected.
Let me know if I can help in any way to describe or record the behaviour I'm encountering.
Cheers
