| Description: | Currently, there exists a wide variety of instrument plugins and sound libraries with various articulations, while Ableton Live lacks a feature similar to Logic's articulation mapping or Cubase's/Nuendo's expression mapping. To enhance the performance of these instruments and facilitate easy and efficient control within Ableton Live, it becomes crucial to have a means of controlling the articulations of instruments. In order to accommodate as many instrument plugins and sound libraries as possible, this plugin has been designed to offer flexible combinations of control parameters, including key-switch, CC#, program change and MIDI channel. This simplifies the control of instrument plugins and sound libraries, allowing for effortless manipulation of articulations (starting from version 4.0, control modes are no longer differentiated). Additionally, the plugin features a latency fixer to address issues related to varying sound delays that may arise when using different articulations or playing note velocity with certain sound libraries or instrument plugins. With these capabilities, it is capable of meeting the requirements of almost all instrument plugins and sound libraries. Its functionality is so extensive that it cannot be fully summarized in a short introduction. Here are the key features of ArticulatOR Pro 4.0: 1.The plugin's size has been reduced from 23.5MB (version 3.0) to 3.1MB. 2.Significantly shortened loading time for the plugin, preset calling, and language switching. 3.Greatly reduced CPU usage during plugin loading, preset calling, and language switching. 4.Now supports up to 48 articulations, with three adjustable positions: 16/32/48. 5.Unrestricted control of articulation using an unlimited number of controllers. The control mode selection has been eliminated, allowing you to freely combine keys, CC#, program changes, and MIDI channels for any articulation. 6.Reduced CPU consumption during usage. 7.Added the Hold Key function. 8.Improved compatibility with Cubase/Nuendo expression map preset files (.expressionmap). You can now directly drag and drop expression map preset files (.expressionmap) into the right half of ArticulatOR Pro's main UI for loading. Additionally, a preset converter is provided to convert older versions of preset files and expression map preset files. 9.Default support for Simplified Chinese and English languages. An additional Language File Maker is provided so you can create your own language file for ArticulatOR Pro. 10.MIDI Controller update: Added automatic pitch bending functionality. ...... | Greetings! This depends on the instrument plugin or sound library being used, such as Ample Sound Guitar. With Ample Sound Guitar, for example, when you press D#0, it triggers the "Slide in&Out" articulation, but it only applies to a single played note and immediately returns to the "Sustain" articulation. ArticulatOR Pro's role is to simplify the control of complex articulations through automation. You no longer need to remember various key switches, CC messages, and other controllers. In some cases, multiple controllers may be required to switch between articulation techniques, and ArticulatOR Pro allows for easy control of these articulations. However, ArticulatOR Pro does not inherently know which specific articulation you refer to as the "base articulation." It is possible to consider adding this functionality in future versions, where you can select one of the articulations as the "base articulation" during configuration and include a switch to enable momentary switches. Please note that ArticulatOR Pro provides a powerful and intuitive approach to controlling articulations, and your suggestion will be duly considered for future updates. |

| @DarlingLee Thanks for the detailed answer, I am looking for solutions that can overcome an instrument's built-in limitations and add "momentary awareness" to keyswitches. I know most of them only have "latched" keyswitches aka "you press the key but even if you release it, there's no option to change behavior". I imagine like you said... if there is some way to implement it in Max For Live scripting, where the base articulation is set in the UI too. |

Meaning an articulation that's ONLY active when I hold a key down, and resets back to a "base" articulation after I let it go. Used to make it easier for brief ornaments and decorations.
