| Description: | cardinal VCV is an awesome free plugin for just about all major platforms. you can build whatever crazy synth and effects racks you can think of with it. perhaps one of the few shortcomings for it atm is that, unlike the paid for vcv rack pro version, you cannot immediately automate any knobs and sliders. the work around is to use the host midi map module, and a max for live patch that exposes midi ccs on the timeline. view the screenshot for the steps. included in my .zip is an .als that contains about 25 of patches you can dissect and learn a bit about vcv patching in cardinal. get the free cardinal vcv here: https://github.com/DISTRHO/Cardinal/releases/tag/22.05 note: this m4l device is directly based off one i made for the bbc orchestral template, however this one allows notes, pgm, aftertouch, etc through it. |
