| Description: | This Max for Live device and Standalone application that will let you play melodies on each instrument of the TR8S samples via your midi keyboard or other controller and also capture the TR8S knob settings so that you can enter them into the TR8S to be played back without a computer. You can use either the Course tune or the Tune knob - with the latter freeing up the Ctrl knob, so it can be assigned to another parameter. The Capture function lets you capture all the notes' corresponding values, as you record them into the TR8S. Once recorded you can then use the captured notes to lock motion sequence values to the steps in order to save the melody into the TR8S. The new M4L version adds a Capture All and Clear All function allowing you to control all other instances of the device from any one of the devices - which means you can Capture all 11 instruments simulataneously and not need to click on every instance. The Standalone app has added QWERTY Keyboard shortcuts that allow you to play each instrument chromatically, select the instrument, start and stop capture and clear as well as select the parameter, all without touching the mouse. It is purely a note input tool and will hopefully be the first of a series of four devices - with the others being more for live playing of melodies - mono, poly and a melodic sequencer - and they are planned to be much more in depth. Please read the instructions before using, as there is a lot of useful info in there. The Max4Live device and Standalone have been tested to work on both Mac and Windows 10 and 7. The device works with Ableton 10 and 9 provided you have Max for Live of course. You will get - amxd files - version 1, 2.2 and 2.3, MacStandalone ver 1 and 2.3, WinStandalone ver 1 and 2.3, and instruction manual.
