Overview
Name | Version: | 4 Voice Splitter 1.0 |
Author: | stev |
Device Type: | MIDI Effect |
Description: | This device allows you to control 4 different monophonic synths with 4 voice polyphony, or 4 different 4 voice synths with 16 voice polyphony, from a single track. Send this device polyphonic midi and it will split it up the voices into 4 different channels. It lets the first channel through and sends the next three to different midi buses. These buses can be received by the Heap MIDI Receiver ( https://gum.co/VXabQe ). Right now it only has 2 settings, Mono and Quad mode. In Mono mode it takes 4 note polyphony and splits it into 4 mono midi tracks, in Quad mode it takes 16 note polyphony and splits it into 4 groups with 4 voices each. |

Hmm I cant quite think of a way to successfully do either of those things. I'll give it some thought tho as both ideas sound cool. If you can think of example devices that use similar logic let me know.

Hello Steve
In the analog world there was the Roland MPU-101
it features very interesting and various modes for a
midi in /four cv gate outs interface .
here is the link for the user manual: http://www.synthmanuals.com/manuals/roland/mpu-101/owners_manual/
the different modes are explained on page 18 and following pages.
Be sure i will never sell my MPU-101 butit would be great to find similar features in the Aleton Live world .
ps:
your delay and plyphonic pitcher are fantastic

Awesome! Would love to see this eventually for up to 6 voices - would be very useful for improvising orchestration ideas!
Nice Work!

it works perfectly with unison big sounding mono synths
here are some ideas to make it even better:
-The first output could be the lowest note of the chord etc
-What about a round robbin sequential output of the 4 voices synced in time : 1/4 1/8 1/16 etc ?
