Overview

Name | Version: 101seq 1.0.0
Author: cupcake
Device Type: MIDI Effect
Description: Note sequencer based on the one built in to the Roland SH-101 that only stores basic note information but not duration. Has some 'modernising' additions, but operation is as close as possible to the original:

Enter LOAD mode to put notes into the sequence. Hold 'legato' while entering a note to make it tie to the next step. Press 'rest' to enter a blank step. There is no dedicated PLAY mode control, when LOAD mode is not active the device will attempt to play back the sequence when receiving clocks from the selected trig source.

Sequence can be clocked 'manually' via user-selectable MIDI Note, or in sync with Live's tempo, with various selectable divisions. Note length can be an absolute value in MS, a selectable length relative to Live's tempo, or 'OFF' (all notes play legato). Notes will play polyphonically if the length is longer than the clock for step duration.

Has the addition of 8 sequence slots that can store separate sequences, which can be selected via mouse or MIDI Program Change 1-8 (with optional passthrough). 'Clear' can be used to blank out current slot. (Sequence can be recovered by a hacky method if needed: use Live's undo to go back one step, then change to a different sequence slot and back to the original and it will reload the cleared sequence.)

Maximum 9999 steps per sequence slot.

See Info view box for more detail on the various controls.

Very fun when several are placed in a rack responding to different notes (or the same one!)
