Device Overview

Name/Version: lightning 3.0
Author: bongo808
Description: Lightning is an audio and midi clip launcher. It receives audio from track input as any audio effect, and clips are triggered by incoming audio. It is a clip launcher that uses incoming audio in the device's track to play clips in any track you select.
It works better with percussive sounds, it was primarily designed to play audio clips and midi clips routed to external analog synth while playing drums and percussion.

The device consists of a gate trigger (on the left of the device), with threshold and hold, that sends a signal to two parallel independent clip launchers.

Two clip modes are available for each trigger ; Oneclip and Multiclip
The “oneclip” mode will trigger playing points inside a clip by moving the start position (for looped clips : loop start, and for unlooped clips : clip start), the clip must be warped. Choose the track, the clip, and the number of beats you want the start position to move inside.
The “multiclip” mode will launch several clips. You have to specify the track, the first clip you want to be launched and the number of clips.

For each trigger you also have to choose between two launching modes : “Random” or “list”.
If you choose list launching mode, you can choose the direction : “Up”, Down” or “Up & Down”.

Triggering can be direct or delayed, or both. Two delay circuits are available for each launcher. So you can possibly launch six clips with one audio trigger signal.

The decide box allows a random choice of playing the clip or not.
The wait box force the trigger to wait until no clip is playing in the selected track to trigger a clip again.

The side chain stop can stop any clip in the selected track with audio coming from any track you choose, with threshold and hold for the stop trigger.
