Author: | bugbytz |
Device Type: | MIDI Effect |
Description: | CopyTime is a lightweight Max for Live utility (available as either an audio effect or a MIDI effect) designed to speed up your music creation workflow in Ableton Live. Ableton currently lacks a native "copy time" feature, requiring users to first "cut time" (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+X) and then "paste time" (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+V) to place a selected region into the clipboard. CopyTime solves this by automatically handling both steps behind the scenes, letting you copy and paste time selections directly. |

Which OS are you running? Also which version of Ableton? Just to confirm after you add the device to your set and select a region in the arrangment view you're pressing ctrl/cmd+shift+C? This should place the region in your system's clipboard after which you should have the ability to ctrl/cmd+shift+V anywhere in the arrangement to past the copied time.

If you're on mac, you may need to enable accessibility permissions for Ableton by going to System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Accessibility -> (add Ableton to the list) -> Toggle on. Then restart the computer.
