If Cycling74/Ableton are in the room - what's really missing here is if the mousestate had an outlet for the trackpad Force Touch, this could then be used to control MIDI breath and aftertouch based on pressure, and rates of change in that value can also be easily calculated and have affect on the player live performance. Other touch gestures generally would be awesome too, opening up a whole slew of laptop instruments for Ableton Live DAW !! This device also can be used to make subtle adjustments to the MIDI note velocity moving two adjacent fingers up and down (mouse wheel) Keys 1 through 9 offsets the octave up or down from whatever octave you are currenty playing (5 resets to no offset) - e.g. you can play bass notes breifly and jump back to treble for example or go +8ve And useful for things like arpeggiators (such as https://maxforlive.com/library/device/13325/kasm-arpeggiator) there is a latch button that will hold notes on indefinitely until pedal off All controls have automations so recording saves any changes in live performances. |
