Thanks for the support. I discovered the root of the problem was with some of my midi preferences left over from when I'd been using Stray's nativeKontrol, for whatever reason it completely mucked up this surface. Got rid of all the old stuff and seems like the patch is working great.

Got a big smile on my face, thanks again!

Hmm, still not having any luck. I bound the load button to tap tempo and hit it twice. The Load button turns white then red again and the rack on the left flickers so I think that is working. However, none nothing else seems to work. Clicking the shift button on the screen displays the various scenes but pressing the shift on the APC40 does nothing or any of the stop buttons etc. The first knob on the Device Control of the APC40 does move the first knob of the left rack in the control surface but I can't seem to get any other input.

Just to clarify for this work I simply download the patch, drag it to a track in my set, load it to initialise and the rest should click?

This is what my MIDI preferences look like:

Is that correct? I just can't seem to be able to figure what it is that I am doing wrong. If anyone has any tips please let me know.

thanks much!

Thanks for the quick response! I believe the not pressing the load button twice is what must have been throwing me off. Don't have my APC40 here in front me but will let you know once I've tried it out. Thanks again, looking forward to giving this a whirl!

This looks like a really cool patch but I have not had any luck getting it to work. I've looked around and haven't had any luck answering these questions:

Am I supposed to drop APC40 Control Surface - DJ Edition 3.5 on Track 1 in my set and then use the 3.4 Slave on the rest of the tracks or do I use this patch on every track?

When I drop just the APC40 Control Surface - DJ Edition 3.5 on Track 1 and then try to Midi Map the controls I am unable to select most of the controls. Do I need to do anything in Midi preferences in Live before using the control surface?

Is it normal that the device takes a relatively long time to load when you drop it on a track?

Is there some readme that I am missing or something? I'm new to your template. The potential seems enormous but I am missing a few steps between dropping the device on the track and having functionality. If these questions are answered elsewhere and I'm just missing it please point me there; I've looked through the videos and discussion in the comments here and in the the thread on the ableton forum.
