Thus the liver has good roles to play and hence we need to ensure that we keep it healthy. How do we do that? We need to inculcate few healthy habits that help the liver sustain longer. The following points help us understand as to how we can keep the liver healthy:

Drink a lot of water
Consuming about 8 to 10 glasses of water every day can help flush out all the toxins from our body. Drinking ample amounts of water can cause a detoxifying effect also facilitate the liver to perform the task of detoxification smoothly?
Quit alcohol

Be active
Being physically active can keep you liver health. Hence if you are gaining weight, ensure that you exercise regularly to keep your liver healthy for a longer period of time. Avoid a sedentary lifestyle.
Eat well, follow a balanced diet
Follow balanced diet that will help you gain all the essential nutrients. The vital nutrients that are obtained from food are essential for long term sustenance of all the vital organs of our body, including the liver.
Manage stress
Do not destress yourself. Being under stress constantly can increase the task of your liver. The liver has to perform a cleansing job when you are under stress as your body produces adrenalin when highly stressed. Hence stay calm and relax. This in turn will relax your liver.
