Device Overview

Name/Version: FCB1010 - Program Change to Midi Notes translator 1.0
Author: AbletonKurse
Description: This device let you use the FCB1010 with the great FCB1010 Loop Control device from DLWhite. ( http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/1764/fcb1010-looper-control ) , if your FCB1010 is set to the factory settings.

The FCB1010 is a great hardware controller, but is not that handy if you want to use it out of the box for Ableton Live, because the buttons per default are sending only Program Changes, which isn't useful for midi remote purposes in Ableton Live.

If you are into looping check out the patch from DLWhite, drop my device in front of his and switch your FCB1010 to factory preset and to the bank "00" .

You can use my device as well for normal midi remote control (all Banks) in Ableton Live directly. For this purpose you need to route the midi track you got it on through a virtual midi bus.

That's a good idea, nice job.

Thank you so much :)

Thank's a lot for your job. You say : "You can use my device as well for normal midi remote control (all Banks) in Ableton Live directly. For this purpose you need to route the midi track you got it on through a virtual midi bus". Can you give more explanations about this and how exactly to do that please ?

@Elektropop - Yep. So once you have MIDI notes after the device you might want to use those to remote things in Ableton Live. For this you would need to send those out (Via MIDI TO) and receive those as incoming MIDI via a REMOTE IN port. You could set up some virtual MIDI connection for this. On Mac this is integrated and is called IAC driver/WIN would need another app like LoopMIDI. BUT! If you want to set up some control via FCB1010 to MIDI remote stuff in Ableton Live, I would just change the MIDI being send from your FCB1010 to MIDI notes, this would be the most clean and obvious way for a set up here.

Ok, thanks for your answer. My goal is to control the Looper by the FCB1010 and for that, I have to tell to the pedalboard to send MIDI notes to Live but it's a long and a complicate manipulation on the FCB1010 :-/ I hoped I could do it simply with your plugin by just putting it before (or after ?) the looper ;-)
