Device Overview

Name/Version: Fixed Length Clip Record 1.1
Author: SOUPSOUNDS
Description: This is useful for using Abelton for live looping. I have been doing this stuff with Bome midi translator before - But this is much neater.

Only tested using quantise of 1 bar.

Now improved so hopefully it actually works in practice (have tested a few times and so far so good) - You need to send a 127 Cntl value to arm the device and fire the clip (not an on/off message). Also I think you may have to zero both these toggle switches to ensure it works properly.

Define the clip and track number by midi; set the desired number of bars - by midi.

Arm the device. Mappable
Fire the clip. Mappable

Will automatically arm the track and unarm when clip is recorded.

May be some teething issues - Do let me know if you have some improvements.

Hi, I have just noticed that the midi mapping doesn't work properly on this device. You can map the parameters - But it won't respond when you trigger them - any thoughts gratefully received.

Ignore last comment - I was just sending a Cntl 127 message rather than an on/off.

It does seem to be pretty erratic - takes several triggers to get it to work. Any ideas how to modify - so it just takes one trigger to arm the device.

Hi - Have just updated it so it actually works - hopefully - I have tested it a few times and so far so good. Also changes input from Auto to In when armed and back to Auto when clip finished. The device also Unmutes and zeros first 6 sends when armed.
