hey i am having fun with this but tell me why cannot map the MAX parameter but CAN map the MIN parameter number box? i am still no programmer so i cannot fix it myself. can you fix that? great work! it seems basic at first but once one makes it talk with some drum macros it shows it's skill!

also stacking a few of them yields quite pleasant results!
Posted on December 09 2009 by jasound (report) |
they can even randomise each other :))
Posted on December 09 2009 by jasound (report) |
sorry for all msgs but would it also be possible to modulate the loop length?

@jasound: Check out the update. I think I took care of all your requests. Enjoy!

@Prebentious: Thanks for that!! I will try it first chance I get tomorrow and post how it went. I had already begun a set of patterns with 3 of them and 1 is modulating one of the other 2. (anxious)

Would it be possible to implement a glide to this? Maybe with different response curves. One of my favourite devices btw.

@Prebentious: The new features work like a fluttering charm. I am getting insane results with this. Thanks again mate! I had a dream about mappable randomise toggle on the sequencer knob positions. that does not sound easy... i am a glutton

@astroschnautzer: Glide!

@Prebentious & astroschnautzer: Thanks for the new version! What exactly should one expect with a "glide" function? Up to now I have only used this device in rhythmic instrument and fx chains. Is this something one must use on a sound with longer duration? I tried using it on a rhythmic piece last night and did not notice any difference in behavior. Perhaps I am missing something. Thanks for any information.

The glide should behave just like a portamento, instead of jumping to the next sequencer it "glides" to the next value. I´m having some problems with this new version though, it "hangs up" and doesn`t send any new values to the destination, I mean you can dial up values in the sequencer but it doesn`t send the new values out anymore, I think this was always after I tried to edit the min/max window.

Ok, checked again and the min/max graphical interface just seems to be the problem, if you change it from the numbers it works fine.

@I think I fixed the slider

This is awesome! Exactly what I need for ranomizing my Drum Rack samples etc. THANKS!!!

When using this device to change a Samplers Select to say, Select various kick samples in a drum rack, I notice that visually I have to set the parameter a beat early. In other words, to select a sample to trigger in 1 I have to adjust parameter 8. Does that make since?

The parameter sequencer introduces some major problems when used with live 8.1.1bx and max 5.1.1, it basically stops all the audio and live crashes in some situations.

@astroschnautzer Yeah, it got really weird for me too. I sent them a bug report, so hopefully it'll get fixed soon. You might want to send them another report.

Yes, I sent a report allready, I think they have got quite alot reports lately.

it doesn't seem to recognize devices around it like operator, and multipule instances don't appear to be working either.

After dragging it into a live project audio stops immediately (cpu up to 2000%) - (Live 8.1.1 - max 5.1.1) - After changing the metro object from > - metro @interval 10 ticks @active 1 - to > metro @interval 10 ticks @quantize 10 ticks @active 1 - the plugin starts to work.

Interesting. . . that doesn't fix it for me
Posted on January 04 2010 by Prebentious (report) |
same error 2000% cpu @justamumu fixes it for me, thanks. Live 8.1.1 - Max 5.1.1

@ Prebentious - Mhhh, did not really changed the metro (Live has crashed after changing the metro atributes). I had created a completely new metro-object and than it has worked. - btw. this patch that you have done is a very nice and useful one.
