| Description: | This is a fork of the LFO device included in Ableton 10 Suite version 10.0.1. The included LFO has incorrect output for synced LFO rate of 16 bars and 32 bars, hence LFO10. This fork adds those entries, as well as all intermediary bar counts from 3 - 32, so you can have an LFO repeat every 17 bars, for example. Hopefully an update in the near future will make up for the missing 16 and 32 values, however, I doubt they'd add 24 bars, 11 bars etc, which is something I value a lot. |

| Something else that bothers me about the Ableton included LFO is that the rate knob behavior of beat synced mode is opposite of the behavior in hertz mode. That is: in hertz mode, if you turn the knob left the LFO slows down and if you turn it right it speeds up. However, in beat mode, the behavior is reversed and turning the knob left speeds it up. Do you think there is a way to flip the values of the beat sync rate knob in your fork? |
| Sorry for late @gburks. That's pretty standard behavior of all the LFOs in live (external and those baked into the various synths). Out of curiosity I tried to make the live.dial's range go from 40. to 0., but the dial does not support reverse ranges like that. You could route the output of the rate knob into a [!- 40.] object to get that behavior, but the value displayed on the knob would be incorrect. A hack would be to hide the value on the knob, take the value out of the [!- 40.] object and route that to a comment object and include that in presentation mode. All of that is a little too hacky in my opinion to include in this fork, but can be done without too much effort. |
