Device Overview
Name/Version: | MIDI KeySwitch 1.0 | |
Author: | sandbags | |
Description: | This device allows you to dynamically change the output routing (MIDI-To) for the track it's on by playing specific notes. I'm using it to key-switch between multiple Kontakt instruments on my 2nd keyboard. Usage: Add the device on a MIDI track and switch to the program tab. Set the root pitch using the dial (the device will use the octave from the root pitch up). Then configure routings by setting the track MIDI-To and playing a note in the configured octave. Repeat for as many routings as required. Then switch to the playback tab. To set the track MIDI output play the configured note for that combination. |

This patch is a great idea, but for some reason there is a ~1sec delay when switching outputs in which neither track receives MIDI notes. I'd love to figure out if this is just a fact of live or something that can be worked around. |
