Device Overview

Name/Version: Futility II 2.0
Author: Crampe
Description: With Futility you can (un)solo, (un)mute, (un)arm, (un)collapse the currently selected track, with custom key (and/or midi) shortcuts.
Details, video demo and free download in the link below.

Update: Now with version II, you can zoom/unzoom your arrangement horizontally (if like Forge you prefer to use the R and T keys like in PT). And you can also assign keys/midi to zoom/unzoom your tracks vertically (this needs at least Live 9.1.3).

Great!!!
This is what I had been looking for!
Thank!

excellent, thank you !

hi,
The collapse button only collapses the track it's on rather than the selected track.
(max 7)

sorry my mistake, it happened because I had assigned a shortcut to the device accidentally and it was the same as the collapse button shortcut

Hey man, I know you're busy with all your other dope devices, but I just discovered that this particular device unmutes all tracks on load, which is particular troublesome when you re-open a session with a lot of tracks.

Same thing here, tracks unmuted reopening a project.

Guys did you find a solution to the unmute on load issue?

I have not found a solution yet, but would ABSOLUTELY love an update to this device. It's in my default template so it happens every time I open a project, lol. Only good thing about this is it forces me to kill (delete) sounds / tracks I am unsure of. Blessing in disguise?

@Crampe
update :)

P.S. I've noticed you mentioning somewhere that you were using a custom version of live.property, but I don't think it was included in your frozen patch.
In any case, my quick hack might do the job.
Best, OCH

@OCH - you're the man! Trying this out now. :)

@OCH - doooooood, it works, beautifully! Thank you a MILLION!!!!!

thanks OCH, will check your update.
I'm probably update Futility with new feature at some point.
