Device Overview

Name/Version: J74 LOM Tester 1.1
Author: fabriziopoce
Description: A kind of remake of the very useful ShelLuser LOM.Navigator. The LOM tester has a similar concept while a slightly different angle (and a totally different implementation).

This one tries to give you the "hierarchy" of the LOM through its device menu interface. On the left side of the patch you can move through the hierarchy of the LOM; in the center/left part test the common operations (variable observe/get/set and/or function call); on the right side the suggested patching structure to achieve the same operation in a patch (the light green one is the suggested one).

I made this for myself some time ago, to test and plan Live API objects for observation/get/set/call and used it for making various patches I published. It saves me time while programming and helps in not getting yourself lost in the LOM hierarchy.

Just load this on a MIDI track.
It may be useful for making API-based patches.

PS: version 1.1 updated fixing message order.

Cheers
Fabrizio

cool tnk

The best thing which can happen when you're sharing devices if when other people find good uses for them. Good stuff, I'll be sure to check this device out next week (time of writing).

Thanks a lot. This is a very handy device. Did you update it with Live 9 ?

Yes updated for Live 9 (last tested in 9.1.2 and beta 9.1.3b7).

A few things have been corrected.
The values selected are consistent (in older versions you had sometimes to type/set values twice...) in the menu's and the path commands have the "path" word in (forgotten initially).
Control surface views are now better.

Cheers
Fab
